Diny was the first Canadian woman to become an internationally certified mountain guide in September 1992 and she comes to Mustang Powder with over 25 years experience in the Canadian ski industry.
Before becoming a mountain guide Diny worked on ski patrol and avalanche control at the Lake Louise Ski Area for ten years. Since becoming a guide she has worked 17 years as a heli ski guide for Canadian Mountain Holidays, nine years of which she was assistant manager in CMH Revelstoke. During this time she also taught avalanche courses for the Canadian Avalanche Association and Thompson River University. Diny is a past president of both the CAA and of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides.
She has guided extensively in the Canadian Rockies, working as a guide/ instructor for Yamnuska Mountain School, Banff National Army Cadet Camp and CMH , as well as working in the European alps for OASE, and On Top Mountaineering in Switzerland, Austria,Germany, Italy and France as well as a few other exotic adventures in Morocco and Argentina. She is fluent in French, German, Italian, English and Canadian eh.
After a five year hiatus spent sailing in the Mediterranean and kitesurfing in Costa Rica, Brazil, Cape Verde, Spain, Italy and Mexico. Diny is making an enthusiastic and full energy return to the world of fat skis, deep pow, good times and the Pura Vida of Mustang Powder.
