High Performance Powder Ski Rental

 

Over the last few years we have worked hard to greatly improve our fleet of high performance powder ski.  We are now able to offer one of the best and most diversified fleet’s in the backcountry skiing industry.  We offer everything from the most innovative ski’s on the market, to soft, easy-ride powder skis, to stiff ski’s for big high-speed turns and everything in between.  In order to determine what works best for them, guests are able to try out many different types of skis - a rare opportunity they would not normally get.

 

Our fleet includes:

Armade JJ's

The JJ remains without a peer in backcountry versatility.  This is due to it's innovative construction which combines camber underfoot and rocker in the tip and tail.  Armada’s new Elf Shoe technology has five dimensions so the skis will kill it in the soft stuff and still hold an edge when needed on the hard stuff.  The JJ's have 115 cm's underfoot and are available in 175 and 185 cm's.

 

K2 Pontoons:

These ski’s are a super-fat ski, with 130 mm underfoot they are specifically designed for deep powder skiing.  Nothing will give you more float or easier handling in the deep stuff.  They have an innovative reverse camber shape, with a huge shovel tip that’s guaranteed not to dive on you no matter how deep the powder.  Available in 169, 179, and 189 cm’s.

 

 

Atomic Heli-Daddy:

The Heli-Daddys’ are an extremely versatile easy riding powder ski.  With a softer tip to stay above the snow and a conventional side-cut shape, they are extremely fun and easy to ski.  Available in 170 and 180 cm’s.

 

 

Atomic Big-Daddy:

A large version of the Heli-Daddy with 125 mm’s underfoot and 190 cm’s of length, this ski loves putting big curves into open slopes, but is surprisingly easy to turn in the trees.

 

 

Prior Overlord:

Fat, strong, and stiff, the Overlord offers incredible stability at speed while providing magical nimbleness through trees and powder. Part of its enchantment is the early rise (reverse camber) tip and tail profile which provides floatation and predictability in powder of all kinds... and allows it to turn really easily.  Available in 169, 175, 183 and 193 cm’s.

 

 

Prior Doughboy: 

The Doughboy makes skiing soft snow easy.  It’s unique tip, ample sidecut and tapered shape results in a ski that turns on a dime and floats effortlessly through powder.  The Doughboys are powder and tree skiing made easy.  Available in 159 and 167 cm’s.

  

 

Blizzard Titan Argo IQ:

A fairly stiff 180 cm ski with a conventional shape and 101 mm’s underfoot.  The Argo IQ holds an edge great with speed, but is also extremely nimble in the trees. This ski received "Ski of the Year" honors from Powder, Freeskier, Ski Press, and Outside Magazine in 2008.

 

 

 Blizzard Titan 9:

The Titan 9 is a 188 cm ski with 92mm underfoot for big creamy turns anywhere.  This is a big mountain ski for big mountain skiers and allows you to charge aggressively at high speeds.

 

 

Volkl Gotama: 

A stiff fat ski that loves speed.  The Gotama holds an edge at high speed and gives great floatation in the deep stuff with 105 mm underfoot. Available in 190 cm’s.

 

 

Nordica Supercharger Blower:

The blower is made for Big Mountain chargers with 100 mm underfoot, it is a  stiff ski that loves big aggressive swooping turns.  Available in 185 and 193 cm’s.

 

We also have a few pairs of the following:   -Atomic Heli-Star’s, the original superfat powder ski, available in 170 and 180 cm’s; -Volkl Explosives, the industry standard for years, available in 163, 173 and 180 cm’s; -Rossignal B3 Bandit’s, an easy skiing ski like no other, available in 158 and 168 cm’s   In order to continue to update our fleet with the newest high-performance skis and offer guests such a varied selection we will be charging $35/day (compared to $45-$50 for similar skis at any resort) for rentals in the 2009-2010 season.
